Interesting Things You Should Know About Sith
The word Sith is known to many Star Wars fan. Aside from the fact that the Sith are the antagonist of the series, there are also some interesting facts about them.
To start off, since the Sith are not welcome wherever they go, they are able to hide their presence. Force Stealth is the name of this ability. In Star Wars saga – Episodes I through III, Sheev Palpatine (Darth Sidius) used this ability to hide the fact that he had contact with the Force from all Jedi around him.
Kylo Ren is not a Sith. This was confirmed during one of the interviews with Director J. J. Abrams.
Through the ability of Force Visions, the Sith can peek into the future. This ability may be a blessing or a curse. This ability was used by Anakin when he saw Padme dying, which drove him to join the Sith.
Sith lightsabers are made from bleeding kyber crystals. Kyber crystals were natural crystals that each Jedi has chosen to use when building their lightsaber. The Sith only used kyber crystals which turned red from the blood of the slain Jedi it belonged.
The Sith has the ability to transfer their souls to another person’s body and taking hold on it. This is called Transfer Essence. The Sith used Transfer Essence to cheat death many times.
Darth Maul is the only Sith Apprentice to have ever left the Sith. In the Phantom Menace, it appeared that Darth Maul died but he was able to survive his encounter with Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Thinking that Darth Maul is dead, Darth Sidious took Count Dooku as his new Apprentice which makes Darth Maul the only known Sith Apprentice who survived.
The Sith has the ability to choke someone to death without even having to hold him. This ability is called Force Grip and was seen many times in the series being used by Darth Vader. Force Grip was seen being used by Count Dooku in Revenge of the Sith as he fought against Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The first person to wield a double-bladed lightsaber was not Darth Maul. Exar Kun was actually the first person known to wield this insanely dangerous weapon. No one else aside from them has been known to wield a double-bladed lightsaber.
The Sith are not able to become Force ghosts. This explains their obsession over becoming immortal and lengthening life.
The Death Star was molded to look like the superweapons of the Sith. The Death Star is an extremely powerful weapon since it gets its energy from a giant kyber crystal.
Lastly, the base of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant is a Sith Shrine. This was for the reason that it became the symbol for the Jedi’s victory against the Sith.
