5 Best Comedies That Make You Think about Your Situation at Work

Sometimes you need to have a good laugh at the end of a stressful day.

Workplace comedy films can do wonders in making you smile after a long day. These films are guaranteed to poke fun at funny office scenarios and info.

Whether you adore your job or cannot wait to get out, a good laugh can ease the aches and stresses of the daily grind.

Grab a glass of wine or maybe a bottle of beer before you start watching. These five comedies can make you think (and laugh out loud) about your work situation now!

1. Office Space (1999): is a legendary movie about a man who has had enough of the office work environment. After almost 20 years, the movie is still relevant to anyone who has worked at an office.

You can definitely relate to the frustration whenever the scenes were about office tools and machines that did not work when you needed them desperately. The scene where the office staff slams the printer with a bat is kind of therapeutic.

2. The Devil Wears Prada is a 2006 movie about a boss that was definitely impossible to deal with. Newbie Anne Hathaway was stuck with terrible boss Meryl Streep who made her learn her job in the most difficult manner.

All of us can relate to the awkward boss-employee situation minus the fashionable office digs the film had.

3. Horrible Bosses (2011) is a movie that talks about, well, what else, horrible bosses. We all know you don’t have to work in an office to experience what a horrible boss can do.

We definitely don’t recommend taking matters into your own hands, no matter how bad the situation at work is. If anything, this comedy hilariously tells us that everyone has a good side even if it’s so hard to believe.

4. The Proposal is a 2009 romantic comedy which is set in a stressful work environment.

Ryan Reynolds had to endure daily struggles with his awful female boss portrayed by Sandra Bullock. We sometimes think egocentric bosses are usually male but in this movie Bullock plays the difficult boss that ruins Reynolds’ career moves.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is a 2004 film which show how one can behave so terribly in a professional setting.

The main character is a bully and a sexist. The movie is definitely hilarious, although we hope nothing like it happens in today’s professional environment.

Be thankful for funny workplace comedies – it helps you find the lighter side of work. This site will give you a list of other movies that can help dissolve stress at the end of the day.
